Inside Technical Sales Engineer:

Maple Systems, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of operator interface products for the industrial control market. Founded in 1983, we are located in Everett, Washington (approximately 30 miles north of Seattle). We are currently looking for an Inside Technical Sales Engineer to become an integral part of our sales team.

Position:

As an Inside Technical Sales Engineer you will maintain current customers and attract new ones
by focusing on the customer’s problem and showing how it can be solved by using our operator interface products. Your duties will include soliciting technical requirements from customers, providing advice on what products will fulfill the customer’s needs, and creating and executing an overall sales strategy for each customer. In addition, you will serve as a technical point of contact for our distributors and representatives and may write proposals and targeted white papers. Most communication is done by phone and email; no travel required. Your duties will include:

• Assisting customers in matching their needs with our product options
• Providing formal quotes to distributors and OEMs
• Closing sales opportunities

Qualifications:

• BSEE or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in wholesale (B2B) technical sales
• Technical knowledge of HMIs, PLCs, and industrial control applications
• Strong initiative
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Exceptional problem-solving skills

Hours:  Monday – Friday; 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
