A New Generation of Enhanced Graphic OITs

      (Everett, WA) - Maple Systems is pleased to announce the release of their newest generation of touchscreen operator interface terminals, the Silver Series Plus.  Built on a new, high-functioning hardware platform, Silver Series Plus operator interfaces are designed to meet the demands of today's industrial environments.

   The Silver Series Plus operator interface terminals take all of the features of the popular Silver Series and improve upon them - offering a wider array of display sizes, more connectivity options, higher quality displays, enhanced data management and monitoring features, as well as improved graphics and design options.

     The enhanced displays come in 6”, 8”, 10” and 12” sizes, and all units feature 65, 536-color high-brightness, high-contrast TFTs with high-precision touchscreens and wide viewing angles.  Displays are all flat panels with a nominal depth of less than 2”, and a unique feature in the software allows the displays to be mounted in either portrait or landscape mode, creating optimum versatility in display placement. 

     Connectivity is key in today’s automation, and the Silver Series Plus delivers with a wide variety of connectivity options.  The 10/100BaseT Ethernet allows for multiple high-speed network configurations.  Multiple devices can be connected to the three USB 2.0 host ports, and three COM ports allow for serial connection to multiple PLCs and controllers.  Other connectivity options include audio in/out ports, CompactFlash port and 44-pin IDE interface.

    Many enhancements have been made to the Silver Series Plus’s configuration software, EZware-5000.  One of the major enhancements is to data management tools – which now include data sampling and data logging features, both of which can be exported in a CSV format and stored to external storage device.   Other enhancements to the configuration software include the ability to program projects in up to eight different languages, improved security features with up to six levels of password protection and easy conversion from existing EZware-500 projects. 

     Improvements have also been made to graphics and design options  –  both because of the increase from 256 colors to 65,536 colors, and as a result of enhancements to the software.  Graphics have realistic, three-dimensional appearance that enhances the overall appearance of the display.  Pictures can be imported to the display in four formats – JPG, BMP, GIF and animated GIF, and all imported graphics can be saved in graphics libraries for use in other projects.
