The Keypad Legend
Generator is a software program designed by Maple Systems to make it
easy for MicroOIT users to create and print custom keypad legends.
It allows a user to quickly and conveniently design a
Keypad Legend for Maple Systems' 16-key ( OIT3175 / 4175) and 24-key (OIT3165 /
4165, OIT3185 / 4185) Operator Interface Terminals.
The physical and dimensional layout is done automatically when a
unit is selected. Designing a Keypad Legend is accomplished by "filling in the
blanks".

Steps to Create Your Own Legend: |

Select An OIT Model.
When started, the Keypad Legend Generator (KLG) displays a
blank screen. A screen with two Option buttons is presented: |

Select the desired model, then select OK. A blank Legend is
then created with the Default settings.

Set The Background Color.
Select a color to paint the Legend background. |

3. Configure Each Key (Key Attributes). |

Select a Key, then select Edit Key. Alternatively,
double-click on the key to be configured. The Key Attributes screen will be
displayed for the selected key. |

The existing settings
for the selected key will be shown. If there are any key locations that are not
to be used, they can be deleted. If the Legend needs additional keys, they can
be added.
NOTE: The SYMBOL area allows the selection of a
foreground image to place on the key. Unlike the Background Image, this image
may be sized and positioned anywhere on the key. |
4. Save and Print.
From the
File Menu, select Save, and then Print. The Keyboard Legend
will be printed on the Default Windows
Printer.
