The OIT Family of alphanumeric OITs interface with many ASCII compatible controllers. They support both RS-232 and RS-422/485 communications, and for applications that require multiple OITs they support multi-drop networks. These industrial ASCII terminals can be configured to display text messages from the controller or user-defined messages that are stored in the OIT. Each key on the OIT can be programmed to simulate momentary or on/off switches by sending ASCII character strings to the host controller. In addition, these ASCII character strings or alternate user-defined messages can be displayed on the OIT.
