Project History

In 2017, Maple Systems partnered with Sealed Air to provide the display and control function on the 3rd generation of their ProPad Paper Cushing Machine. They selected our Class 1, Division 2 4.3" touchscreen HMI with additional IO.

In 2018, Sealed Air Corporation announces its participation in the Amazon Packaging Support and Supplier Network (APASS). Amazon created the APASS Network to provide vendors, sellers and manufacturers with a list of companies and labs that meet Amazon’s packaging certifications. As a participant of the APASS Network, Sealed Air is approved to test, design and supply packaging without additional testing or documentation from Amazon. Read Press Release

The Solution:
HMI with built-in I/O

Sealed Air found the solution to this problem in a controller from Maple Systems, an HMI+PLC combo with a 4.3" touchscreen display and three ports for plugging in I/O modules.

The HMC Series merges the functionality of an HMI and a PLC into a touchscreen that controls all of their equipment, all-in-one package, and all programmed in our free configuration software, MAPware-7000. The HMC device enables data logging and real-time trending to monitor your process while it’s happening and identify where issues are occurring.

  • One Ethernet port, One Serial port, USB ports
  • Ability for you to choose your specific Input/Output modules, that fit your project needs, and keep cost down
  • This enabled Baron-Blakeslee to easily control standard industrial equipment, such as Relays or Valves
  • Integrate with Temperate, Analog, & Digital Sensors
