Project History

Enaqua’s application requires a rugged PC that can withstand being in a cabinet. This application required fanless design and long product life cycle. The system needed to have low maintenance needs, low energy use and dependable disinfection in their non-contact UV Disinfection System for an Arizona city’s sanitary district.

The Solution

Enaqua has a long history of using our HMIs, for this application they chose one of our Industrial Box PCs because this customer needed a full PC to accommodate their Web Studio (now Aveva Edge) project.

Reliability and uptime are very important to maintain water cleanliness and compliance. The Box PC runs Enaqua’s custom SCADA project created in Indusoft Webstudio along with a 300 tag runtime. Both the SCADA development software and run-time licenses were purchased through Maple Systems.

Enaqua has developed its custom software over the last decade with continuous focus on daily operation to make it as simple as possible to operate. Enaqua's Ensure Dosing System (EDS) and its attached devices simplify operation, maintenance and troubleshooting. Enaqua's software provides in depth information about the entire system such as lamp status, lamp life, minor and major alarms, and flow levels, while making intelligent system operational decisions based on preset guidelines.
