The cMT-G01 has been upgraded to the cMT-G01X. These upgraded models require EBPro V6.09.02 or later and will offer enhanced CPU performance by transitioning from single-core to quad-core. You’re also gaining a USB 2.0 port and wider operating temperature.
Are EBPro projects backwards compatible with older versions of EBPro and EZwarePlus?
EBPro projects are not backwards compatible with EZwarePlus or older versions of EBPro.
Newer versions of EBPro will save a copy of the project created in an older version when it is modified. This older copy will have the version number of the older software appended to it and will be saved to the same directory.
What if I have multiple older HMIs still in operation out in the field?
You will have to maintain separate projects. Once your project is converted from HMI series to cMT series, it cannot go back to HMI. If project updates are needed, make sure to update the HMI project first, save it, then convert that to cMT, and save that separately.
Can I design screens for the cMT Gateway products?
No, cMT Gateway products do not have any screens stored in them the way cMT Server products do. You can configure the cMT Gateway to pull data from a controller and then send it upstream to your corporate network, but there are no built-in visuals associated with the project.Can I pair an Advanced HMI with a Gateway Products?
Yes, adding a Gateway with Serial or Ethernet bridge can upgrade your existing controller and touch panel without the need for modifying the PLC and HMI projects, adding all the functionality of our High-Performance Series to your existing system. With the IIoT protocols: MQTT and OPC UA built-in, Maple Systems Gateway products can easily fit into most applications and integrate real time data from different devices, to provide a standard communication interface.
